Health & Happiness Study

Join the world’s first global research study using surveys, smartphones, and smartwatches to study wellbeing in daily life.

Led by researchers at Harvard and Oxford University. Powered by Garmin Health and Avicenna.

The Health and Happiness study will be the first study of its kind to collect large-scale wellbeing data from surveys, smartphones, and smartwatches from a global sample population.

The project is led by researchers at Harvard and Oxford University in collaboration with the University of Warwick, the University of Saskatchewan, Avicenna, and Garmin Health.

Using state-of-art machine learning and artificial intelligence, the study seeks to reveal novel insights into the dynamics, determinants, and downstream effects of human happiness.

Ultimately, our goal is to help individuals make better choices for their own personal health and happiness, and to provide data-driven insights for decision-makers around the world to make better products, services, and policies to promote wellbeing.
